Fernando Ortiz

Mr. Ortiz is founder shareholder and member of the Investment Committee of ProA Capital de Inversiones SGECR, SA.

Prior to founding ProA Capital in early 2007, Mr. Ortiz was Partner at Nmás1 Private Equity, as well as member of the Executive Committee of the Nmas1 Group Holding. Likewise, and during the internet boom, Mr. Ortiz worked as Director of Private Equity New Technologies at Argentaria (BBVA) in a Investment vehicle focused in the IT sector.

Between 1997 and 1999 Mr. Ortiz worked as Corporate Finance Director at ING Barings and participated in multiple M&A transactions for clients including Telefónica, FCC, Aceralia-Arbed, Start BV and Dinamia. Mr. Ortiz started his professional career at Arthur Andersen Legal and Tax Advisors in 1992, where he dedicated 5 years principally in tax and legal advisory work.

Mr. Ortiz has been member of the Board of Directors at Bodybell (President), Atecsa, Ydilo Comunicaciones, Penha Longa Hotel & Golf Resort, and on the Board at Hotel Arts Barcelona, both Ritz Carlton Hotels.

Mr. Ortiz received a degree in Law and Business Administration from ICADE (E-3). He speaks English and French.
